not much energy with the system. so i think late tonight, maybe early tomorrow morning, a chance of a few scattered showers, but that cold arctic air continues to race into the bay area. so the temperatures are really going to be dropping off. we're likely to see freezing numbers in some spots inland today. as you approach the coastline, a better chance of a few light showers. temperatures there mainly into the 40's. as we head toward sunday, if you sleep in, you might miss most of the rain. just a chance of showers early in the morning. by the afternoon, partly cloudy, but the temperatures are going to be very cool, low to mid 50's. that's about as warm as it's going to get. if you do plan on traveling around the state, watch out. snow expected in the high country. in lake tahoe, high of only 34. 31 in yosemite with snow. 59 and partly cloudy in fresno. slight chance of showers in monterey bay. and about 48 degrees with showers expected in eureka. on the big picture, we've got this weak system sliding toward the bay
